If your student is missing any clothing items, please come in and check our Lost and Found as we will be donating all left over clothing items to a nearby charity organization prior to Spring Break. MESD Schools will have a 2-hour delay tomorrow, January 24th, due to forecasted snow throughout the night. Temperatures will be in the teens until 9am. We will be closely monitoring the changing conditions.

SME PTO is hosting a movie night in the multipurpose room this Friday, January 27th at 6 pm. The movie will be Minions: The Rise of Gru. Parent or guardians must accompany students. A required emergency drill (fire drill) will take place this week. Additionally, a few staff members from Edgewood Middle School will be visiting the 5th grade students this Thursday regarding registration for middle school. And, SME Spirit Week/Kindness Week is next week 1/23-1/27. Monday - Favorite Hat Day, Tuesday - Camo Day, Wednesday - Crazy Hair Day, Thursday - Wear your Favorite Color (from head to toe) Day, Friday - SME SPIRIT DAY!!! SME will be holding a food drive next week as well to benefit the East Mountain Food Pantry. We will be collecting non-perishable food items. Thank you and have a wonderful week ahead!

Thank you families for joining us last week for our Thanksgiving feast. We were overwhelmed with all of the support and of the total number of meals that were served. Our cafeteria staff worked hard preparing for this day and served 533 individuals!!
Good luck to our 3rd - 5th grade students competing in the school Spelling Bee today at 5:30pm! There is remote learning on Tuesday, November 8th.
